Even though it's still a little chilly here in New England, doesn't mean you have to still wear those oxblood colored sweaters! Black and white is a big spring staple for spring 2013 and I don't intend on ignoring it. Personally, I've always been a fan of an all balck and white outfit. Springtime or not. So when I heard that it was coming back, I was beyond excited. Stay tuned for some outfit ideas/ outfit video. (:

Perks of Being a Wallflower & New Ideas!
Hello My Loves!
I have not made a blog post in a while. Lately, I've just been very unmotivated... or, as I like to call it, lazy! I'm sorry for this, and I'll try not to slack as much as I have been. I recently put up a new YouTube video,so make sure to check that out! It might be blocked in some countries, but I'm hoping it's fine now. Anyway, if you haven't seen it make sure to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7GRGD4AC1M
Anyway, the whole reason I was inspired tomake more blogs again, rather than just youtube videos, is because I just got done watching th Perks of Being a Wallflower. If you didn't know, this movie is based on a novel about a boy who is going through some issues. Now I haven't read the book, but I'm going to Barnes & Noble later in the week, so I'm planning to pick it up! Anyway, in the beginning he goes into high school not having any friends. But in the end he makes an amazing group of friends that accept him for who he is. No matter how cheesy I make it sound, it's actually a really inspiring film, and I reccommend this to anyone. Especially high school students!
In this movie, the main character Charlie keeps this diary that basically does what any other diary does. It keeps thoughts, feelings, and every other mushy-gushy thing that our brain formulates. Personally I've tried diaries in the past, and can't seem to find the time to write everyday. But then again let's face it; my life really isn't that exciting. So instead of doing this, I figured I'd do a weekly recap for every week. This way, I can highlight important events and not feel like I have the obligation to do it everyday.
Let me know what you guys think!

YouTube!
I've always admired the beauty gurus on YouTube. How their videos can brighten their day, and how I've never met them but yet I know so much about them. One of my New Year's resolutions was to make a YouTube channel so I could effect other girls like me, and maybe even become friends with some of the girls I watch! So today after I got home from school, I made my first video! Like most first videos, I was awkward and wasn't quite used to the fact that I was talking to a camera. Unfortunately, this week is going to be filled with studying, studying, and more studying due to mid-terms. But in my free time I'm going to try and edit it. My goal is to get the video up by the end of the week and when I do, I'll be sure to post the link on here. I'd love some advice and feedback.
Yay for sticking with a New Year's Resolution!

How to Survive Mid-Terms
We all dread that time of the year when mid-terms come around. We're expected to remember all of the information we have learned from the beginning of the year, all the way up to this point. To make matters worse, the teachers give us DOUBLE the amount of homework to review. So, lets evaluate the situation here. We have the normal school stress, plus extracurricular activities, plus more homework for "review", plus additional studying on your own. Oh, don't forget to multiply all of this by eight because this counts towards all of the classes we're taking. All of this equals one thing... stress! But the important thing is to take a breath, manage your time wisely, and get through the process. Because after all, it is part of being a teenager.
The first thing to get you through all of this insane amount of work is a little snack that you can munch on while working. My favorite are these peanut M&M’s. After I do some work, I’ll reward myself with some of these tasty treats. It’s not the healthiest thing, but it really does help get me through it!
Another thing that helps me focus on the work is music! I find that if I put my headphones in, rather than playing it out loud, I become much less distracted and able to get more work done. My favorite song is currently “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers. I’m also enjoying both of the albums “Red” and “Believe”. These are Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber’s newest albums. Justin’s acoustic album is coming out on January 29, so I’m sure I’ll be loving that also!
As for other tips, I recommend making lists of everything you need to do. So, if you have school, then softball, and you have to study for math, write it down and after you’ve completed one, cross it off. I’m more of a visual person so this helps me look at what needs to be done, and helps me estimate how long I should spend on each thing.
Happy Mid-Terms/ Finals!
